Two yrs ago a part of me died. On July 18th 2006 I found my 20 yr old son Brandon dead in his bed. He went out with some friends the night before he was to return to college for summer school class's. The autopsy and toxicology reported a small amount of alcohol AND methadone!As far as we know he had never had this drug before. We STILL don't know where he got it. All anyone will say is "he pulled it out of his pocket." At least one other friend also took this drug that night however Brandon is the only one that did not wake up the next day.Brandon was a wonderful young man, he loved his family and friends and they loved him back. He was voted PROM king his senior year (a testament of how his peers felt about him), he was also named scholar athlete his senior year. Brandon was humble and selfless. Three out of the 4 semesters he was at University of WI, Madison he was on the deans list. His majors were International Business and Spanish.Brandon's three younger brothers and his parents have been struggling ever since, we are broken and are having a hard time putting the pieces of our new lives, without Brandon, back together.
