My story starts with a 43 year old. She is my stepmother who ended up with back pain .She was in constant pain from her back. She had been married to my dad for 8 years. Well she was seeing different doctors and even pain management to control the pain, so she could get back to normal. This is so hard…she was prescribed methadone knowing she was on a muscle relaxer. She was also on a high does of anti depressant, 150 mil gram the highest dosage I’ve seen so far. Anyhow She told my dad that she didn’t want to die to please help her....oh my. Well my dad came home from work and she was asleep, he saw her moving and thought ok she is just finally resting. She was one that kept all track of everything when and what she took. On the 4th day of her report there were just some semi writings. He feel asleep for a while, woke up tried to wake her thought she was in a deep sleep. He called the doctor. Dr said just let her sleep it off and see what happens. The doctor said stay by her making sure she was still breathing. He still couldn’t wake her up after taking a shower so he called 911. He didn’t realize she had already gone into a coma.

They tried to revive her and got a weak pulse and took her to the hospital. She was dead on arrival. My Dad was and still is devastated...now my dad is a manly man thinks he can handle anything, but too see this man buckle was almost too much too handle. The Autopsy came back and it said was 3 drugs in her system that killed her...now she was only on methadone for 4 days before she was gone. 4 days. I’ve read up on this drug and you can’t put it with anything else. My dad talked to a lawyer and said that there was nothing he can do.

So I’m here to tell her story and hope that this drug gets pulled off the market or something done to it where no one else can die from this drug. This is a Tragic Story and with so many others there. Momma Debbie you will always be missed and this is for you love ya forever Christy
