We lost our beloved son and brother on March 26, 2008 to a very low dose of methadone. It was two days before he was found. He was a very loving, funny guy and we miss him dearly. There isn't a day that passes that we don't all think of our James.James was 23 years old. He was born on April 24, 1984. He died on April 26, 2008 but was found in his apartment on April 28, 2008 alone.He had just moved into a new apartment and was very happy. When he was found they also found methadone on him. He bought it off the street. James was a Iraq vet and had been addicted to pain pills and later heroin. He thought he was doing the right thing by moving to the methadone. When we got the toxicology back they said he had a very low dose of methadone mixed with vodka. Deadly combination. I know he had no idea how dangerous it was. It is a very sad story and I pray that there is some control over this deadly drug in the future.
