LD GLADSTONE In Memory of LD Steven Gladstone 4/16/78-10/6/06

Methadone took away my husband and my best friend. The drug was prescribed to my husband as a breathrough pain killer. Four days later I came home to my worst fear, my husband of one year not breathing in our bed.

LD was the most wonderful man I ever had the honor to know and love. He had the warmest smile and gave the best hugs. LD was an incredible artist and writer and never met a person he didn't call friend. My world is forever dark without him in it. I love you LD and will forever have you in my heart.

"When you are joyous, look deep into your heart and you shall find it is only that which has given you sorrow is giving you joy. When you are sorrowful look again in your heart and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight." Kahlil Gibran

"Remembrance"
You can shed tears that he is gone,
or you can smile because he has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that he'll come back,
or you can open your eyes and see all he has left.
Your heart can be empty because you can't see him,
or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow
and live yesterday
or you can be happy for tomorrow
because of yesterday.
You can remember him
and only that he's gone,
or you can cherish his memory
and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind,
be empty and turn your back,
or you can do what he'd want:
Smile, Open Your Eyes,
Love and Go On.
